F.A.Q

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of wax do you use?

Our candles are crafted with an elegant paraffin–soy wax blend, chosen for its exceptional scent throw, smooth finish, and clean, refined burn.

What is the burn time?

Our 10 oz candles offer an estimated burn time of 45–55 hours, while our 4 oz minis provide approximately 12–15 hours. Burn times may vary based on room conditions and candle care.

Are your candles non-toxic?

Yes. All Whisper & Wane candles are made with phthalate-free fragrance oils and lead-free cotton wicks, ensuring a clean, elevated experience for your home.

Do you use dyes or colorants?

No. Our candles are intentionally free from dyes and artificial colorants, allowing their natural, understated beauty to complement any décor.

How do I care for my candle?

To preserve the integrity of your candle:

  • Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn

  • Allow a full melt pool to form during the first burn

  • Avoid burning longer than 4 hours at a time

  • Keep away from drafts

These steps ensure an even burn and enhance fragrance performance.

Why is my candle tunneling?

Tunneling occurs when the melt pool doesn’t reach the edges. To prevent this, let your candle burn long enough to create an even, edge-to-edge melt during the first few burns.

Why does the flame flicker or rise too high?

This is often a sign the wick needs trimming. Extinguish the flame, trim the wick, and relight. Drafts can also cause flickering.

What is the best way to extinguish my candle?

We recommend using a candle snuffer to gently extinguish the flame without smoke or wax disturbance.

Can the jar be reused?

Absolutely. Once your candle has finished, simply warm the remaining wax, clean the vessel, and repurpose it as elevated décor or refined storage.
